Newcastle Does Vintage

On the Monday just gone (Bank Holiday) I went to check out the vintage workshop fair at the Theatre Royal in Newcastle. They had rails and rails of the finest vintage clothing, jewellery, homewares, vintage inspired and kitchenalia from super traders from all around our fine country. It was like heaven to me seeing all those never ending rails of vintage, was totally drooling over everything! I would literally buy everything there if I had the money!

I couldn't believe how super busy it was... so many vintage lovers rummaging around for special one off finds. And yes I was one of them! =] I managed to find quite a few things below, which I am really pleased about, as they were right bargains!

I spotted a brown basket full of silk scarves with interesting prints on the 1st stall I came across, it caught my attention straight away and I found these 3 amazing scarves.

Lovely Egyptian print.

 Leopard & pearls print.

Blue, gold and beigh colour block print.

Came to another stall where I went super crazy as all the jewellery there was just a pound! :O Yup just WOW! Lol.

These earthy toned bracelets are perfect for the summer!

It's really hard to find bangles that fit me as I have really small wrists, so when this snake bangle fitted me I just had to get it! Plus I was born on the year of the snake so it's perfect.

A sparkly beaded strap bracelet.

A gold embossed owl keyring. I could easily find a chain for it and wear it as a necklace =]

Adore this decorative little pearl pineapple brooch.

Can't believe I found a lovely owl necklace!!!! Think my owl obsession has just gone up another level ha! Such a bargain for a pound, in Accessorize it would cost about £12!

Pretty gold butterfly chained necklace.

And last but not least I came across this pretty little deco wristwatch on the last stall I checked out. The stallholder told me the watch doesn't really work but it does start ticking after every 18 hours for a while then it would stop again lol. I bought it anyways as I've been looking for something like this for ages and I just love the style of it!

Would definitely go to another vintage fair for many more great finds! =]

With Lulu

Sunny day out at Blyth Beach, with Lulu... My friends cute little yorkshire terrier.

Looking nice and groomed on the way to the beach...

Until she nearly got washed away by the waves lol. Awwwhh bless her cute little sadface :( Reminds me of Puss in Boots cute pleading face in Shrek.

Lulu shaking off, she'll be great in a Herbal Essence Ad Lol. My favourite picture of her, makes me laugh every time I see it hehe.

Awwwhhh Lulu has a new friend.

She may be little but her mouth is massive ha! Play time with the tennis ball.

Lulu not looking impress... think she got sick of me pestering her all day for photos ha! Can't help it, she's just too cute! Told my friend I'm her godmother now haha. =]

Finishing off this post with a video clip I took of Lulu, of when she was crying and moaning whilst on our way to the beach. Awwwhh bless her little seal like noises she makes when she cries lol.

Hope you's enjoyed the cuteness of this post!

Learn to love yourself

I woke up early this morning and came across this oh so inspiring video by Dove. It really spoke out to me so I wanted to share it here with you, to each and every single beautiful people out there who have yet to see it for themselves... On how beautiful they really are in their own individual way.

Dove is a well known worldwide brand who are committed to creating a world where beauty is a source of confidence and not anxiety, they conducted a compelling social experiment that explores how woman view their own beauty in contrast to what others see.

We are our own worst critics. Only 4% woman around the world consider themselves beautiful. We spend an awful lot of time analysing what we don't like, we need to spend more time appreciating the things we do like about ourselves. We need to learn to love ourselves more... you are more beautiful than you think!

Love yourself more blog readers, go out today with confidence and embrace your beauty! =]

What is your dream?

Googled

My words of wisdom  =]

Everyone has a dream. Whatever your dream and ambition is in life,  always follow your heart and run with it... chase for the things you love and make sure you catch that opportunity when it's there!

Most importantly believe in yourself! Believe you can live the dream!

(Note to self!)

It's All About The Bike

The Cycle Hub is a little lovely place in Newcastle which I had discovered during the Easter Holidays, where you can hire bikes for a day or two. What is also really great about this place is their small little cafe, which offers hot beverages, some hot food and snacks. As you can see I ordered a sweetcorn & tuna jacket potato with salad and ofcourse my favourite hot brew... English tea! It was soooo good! =]

Not only do they offer bikes to hire, they offer bike courses and riding events. Where you can meet up and ride around different places around Gateshead and Newcastle, so you can really experience and enjoy the views and landmarks around the city. For people who like a bit of shopping... they have a shop within the cafe thats sells cycling kits, gears, t-shirts, postcards and graphic prints. If you want some serious retail therapy they do have a selection of bikes you can drool over. There is something for everyone to enjoy! ^^

The Interior and decor of this place is also something I really adore, the white beautiful panelled walls, the circular windows, the graphic prints displayed around the walls and the interesting architectural shape of the building. It just all goes really well together. Definitely my new favourite place to hangout and a place I would recommend to people if they want something different away from shopping and pubs.

Hello

Welcome to owl&tea.
The name of my blog is completely irrelevant.
It's simply because
I have an owl obsession and I can't live without tea!
I will be sharing the things I love in
fashion / beauty / art / design / photography.
Plus a bit of lifestyle thrown in too, on
food / places / travels / fun things I come across.
And ofcourse some of my random thoughts.

'Everything stops for tea'
Do you agree? ^^

Bye for now.
I am off to put the kettle on,
for a nice
morning cuppa.
Have a nice day
and sure do
come back
for my next blog post!
